Impacted Tooth Extraction
An impacted tooth is a phenomenon that can be explained by human evolution. The first humans had 48 teeth. However, over time, with the discovery of fire and the softening of foods, the space allocated for the mouth in the skull decreased, while the space for the brain increased. As a result, the last tooth in each group (incisor region, premolar region, molar region) began to show a tendency to remain impacted.
Today, common procedures in clinics include the extraction of impacted wisdom teeth, impacted second molars, and impacted canine teeth. For an impacted tooth extraction, necessary examinations are conducted first, and the procedure is carried out under local anesthesia, adhering strictly to surgical disciplines. Naturally, the healing process will differ from that of a normal tooth extraction.
